Local Boys and Girls Clubs

· Clubs are safe, supervised facilities offering daily programs that encourage the healthy physical, social, and educational development of children and youth, from preschool to young adulthood.

· All Clubs are founded on a belief in the positive potential of every child. Caring adults help build self-esteem and encourage the development of positive values and skills for life during critical periods of childhood growth.

· Local Boys and Girls Clubs are responsive to the unique needs of each child and each community.

· Boys and Girls Clubs are inclusive and welcome young people of all cultural, social, and economic backgrounds. Clubs foster an appreciation of diversity in their work with children and youth.

· Each Club is managed by an experienced Executive Director, assisted by full and part-time youth work professionals and an army of volunteers.

· All Clubs are private, nonprofit, community-based agencies with policy set by an autonomous voluntary board comprised of local residents.
