Physical Activity, Health and Safety

With child obesity reaching epidemic proportions, the need for physical recreation opportunities for children has never been greater. Boys and Girls Clubs understand the critical role that physical recreation and nutrition play in the life-long health of Canadian boys and girls. Clubs encourage daily physical activity through a variety of programs, from team sports, ballet, and karate to rock climbing and outdoor adventure, as well as cooking classes, healthy lifestyle, and nutrition education. Club programs also focus on other areas important to children’s safety and health such as substance abuse prevention, conflict resolution, and more.
