New Club Development Toolkit

The New Club Development Toolkit is designed to support communities interested in joining the Boys and Girls Club movement. There are three workbooks that comprise the toolkit, which will help you move through the process of becoming a provisional member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada – from exploring an idea to establishing a new club. This is a process that can take a committed group with a vision up to two years to achieve.

Workbook One helps you to better understand the Boys and Girls Club movement and to connect with your community to determine how the identified need may be most effectively addressed. Completing a community assessment and evaluating the implications of the findings are the key focus. At the end of the workbook you will be ready to make the choice whether a new Boys and Girls Club is the answer for your community.

Workbook Two takes you through the first steps of starting a non-profit organization. The process of registering with the needed authorities and setting up initial structures is detailed.

Workbook Three focuses on service development. It addresses staffing and volunteer needs for service delivery, policies relating to staff, volunteers, and services.

For more information, please contact us and we will send you a copy of our "New Club Development Information Package."
